Alumna Mok Nam-hee Donates KRW 100 Million to the Ewha West Campus Construction Fund

Ewha Womans University has received a KRW 100 million donation to the Ewha West Campus Construction Fund from alumna Mok Nam-hee (Political Science & International Relations, graduating class of 1973). The Ewha West Campus Construction Project aims to transform the area near the university’s western back gate into a state-of-the-art future campus focused on global convergence research, industry-academia collaboration, and entrepreneurship. The project also includes the redevelopment of the Morris Hall and the Alumnae Building. 

Ewha held a fund delivery ceremony on September 1, 2025 (Mon.) in the reception room of the Pfeiffer Hall to express its gratitude. Attendees included: donor Mok Nam-hee; Hyang-Sook Lee, President of Ewha Womans University; Jhungsoo Park, Executive Vice President for Research and External Affairs; Yun Jung Choi, Vice President for University Relations and Development; Park Eunyoung, Associate Vice President for University Relations and Development; and alumna Lee Yang-jun (Political Science & International Relations, graduating class of 1970).

Mok Nam-hee is a global accounting and finance professional who graduated from Ewha Womans University and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kentucky State University, a master’s degree in accounting information systems from Cleveland State University, and a doctoral degree from Dankook University. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she has worked in the accounting division at the oil and gas multinational BP and has held leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer at Elizabeth Arden, CEO of Schering-Plough Korea, and professor in the Department of Business Administration at Dankook University, demonstrating her excellence across both multinational corporations and academia. 


Commenting on her donation, Mok stated, “Having studied and worked in the United States following my graduation, I regretted not having many opportunities to reconnect with my alma mater. I am truly pleased to be able to support the university through this donation.”


President Hyang-Sook Lee expressed her appreciation: “We are deeply grateful for alumna Mok’s generous support and her warm commitment to her alma mater. We will do our utmost to ensure that the Ewha West Campus is designed successfully as a future-oriented campus that encompasses convergence research, industry-academia collaboration, and entrepreneurship, in addition to the next generation of university education.”
