Alumna Kim Hyeon-sun Donates KRW 100 Million to the Ewha New Era Fund

Ewha Womans University has received a KRW 100 million donation to the Ewha New Era Fund from alumna Kim Hyeon-sun (Law, graduating class of 1960). The donation will be used for a range of university development initiatives under the vision of “Ewha Leading the Great Transformation through Inclusive Innovation.”
Kim’s donation of KRW 100 million to the Ewha New Era Fund follows her previous contributions, including KRW 100 million to the EGPP Kim Hyeon-sun Scholarship in 2022 and KRW 50 million to the Ewha West Campus Construction Fund in 2024.
Ewha held a fund delivery ceremony in the reception room of the Pfeiffer Hall to express its gratitude. Attendees included: donor Kim Hyeon-sun; Lee Dong-gwi (German Language & Literature, graduating class of 1974), Kim’s niece and President of Hosanna College; Hyang-Sook Lee, President of Ewha Womans University; Jhungsoo Park, Executive Vice President for Research and External Affairs; Yun Jung Choi, Vice President for University Relations and Development; Hyemi Lee, Associate Vice President for University Relations and Development.

Alumna Kim Hyeon-sun expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am always grateful for the warm welcome from my alma mater.” She also added, “I am delighted that this donation allows me to help students in need and take part in the university’s major initiatives.”
President Hyang-Sook Lee remarked, “I deeply appreciate alumna Kim for conveying her lifelong affection for her alma mater through this generous donation.” She also added, “In line with Ewha’s vision of ‘Ewha Leading the Great Transformation through Inclusive Innovation,’ we will continue to strengthen our educational and research capabilities, and further lay the foundation of sustainable development for future generations.”
