Professor Sang-Jip Nam received his Ph.D. from Seoul National University. He worked on the development of new anti-cancer compounds and antibiotics from marine natural products at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography during his postdoctoral fellowship. Then he joined the Department of Chemistry and Nano Science, at Ewha Woman’s University in 2013. His research focused on the discovery of medicines from diverse natural sources. He has published many papers in top chemistry journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. Engl., Nat. Chem. Biol., Org. Lett. etc.
