Sung-Jin Kim Professor Emeritus

Sung-Jin Kim graduated from the chemistry department of the Ewha Womans University in 1981 and received her master’s degree from the same department. From 1985 to 1989 she studied solid state chemistry at the chemistry department of the Iowa State University, USA, where she received her Ph. D in 1989. She is currently a professor of college of Natural Sciences at the Ewha Womans University. She is a fellow of The Korea Academy of Science and Technology since 2015. In 2020, she received the Science & Technology Medal of Creation, the top 1st-class national medal of  Science & Technology  in Korea. She served as a board member of National Research Council of Science & Technology. The main research interests of Prof. Kim cover design, synthesis and investigation of physical-chemical properties of metal clusters compounds, nanostructured materials, thermoelectric, solar cell, sensor materials and graphene. Her studies have resulted in more than 280 scientific papers and 18 patents.
