Dongho Chun Professor
Art History
Dongho Chun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art History, College of Humanities. He read Archaeology and Art History at Seoul National University, South Korea, before moving on to England to pursue postgraduate studies. He was awarded a doctorate from the University of Manchester in 2000 with a thesis entitled 'A History of the Leicester Family, Tabley House, and its Collection of Paintings'. He has since taught and worked in England and South Korea. Dr. Chun is a specialist in the history of eighteenth-century British art, and has published a number of articles in Korean and in English. His current research interests focus on diverse aspects of artistic exchanges between Europe and Asia, and the cultural politics of memory embodied in artifacts.
