Jin Kyeong Oh Professor Emeritus
Oh Jin-Kyeung is a professor in the Department of Art History, College of Humanities at Ewha Womans University. After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Ewha Womans University, she received her doctorate in art history from Universite Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. With expertise in Dadaism, Surrealism, Pop art, Nouveau Realisme and Feminism, she gives a lecture on and conducts a wide range of studies on the overall History of Contemporary Art. She served as the president of Association of Western Art History, Association for History of Modern Art and Association of Art History Education, as well as a member of Presidential Commission on Policy Planning and Cultural Properties Committee. And also, she was the museum director at Ewha Womans University. She is currently charge of the department of Foreign Cooperation.She had published dozens of research papersin academic journals, and also she translated books such as Dada & Surrealism, Woman, Art, and power, in addition, she co-authored Understanding Korean Art: from the Prehistoric through the Modern Day.
