Young Sok Kim Professor

Professor Young Sok Kim graduated from Seoul National University College of Law obtaining Bachelor of Law and Master of Law. Further, he graduated from University of Illinois College of Law obtaining LLM and Doctor of the Science of Law (JSD) focusing on International Law. After passing Korean Foreign Service Exam, he worked as a deputy director in the Korean Foreign Ministry for 10 years. Later he joined academia as an Assistant Professor of Law in AJOU University and now is working as Professor of International Law in Ewha Womans University School of Law. Professor Kim is mainly interested in the International Criminal Court, International Humanitarian Law, International Human Rights, territorial issues including Dokdo and Peaceful Settlement of International Disputes.   Professor Young Sok Kim wrote 『A Lecture of the Law of the International Criminal Court (in Korean)』, 『International law (in Korean)』, 『International Humanitarian Law (in Korean)』 『The International Criminal Court: A Commentary of the Rome Statute』, 『The Law of the International Criminal Court』. He is also the author of various academic articles with respect to International Criminal Law, International Humanitarian Law, Japanese Sex Slaves, Territorial Issues, Protection of Marine Environment and others.
