Dr. Kim is a professor of Dept of Nutritional Science and Food Management in college of Health Sciences. She received her PhD from Tufts University with a degree in nutritional biochemistry and metabolism. Her research focuses on the effect of nutrients and functional foods on cancer stem cells. She expands her research area into the effect of functional foods on chronic diseases and intestinal microbome. Dr. Kim teaches "Clinical Nutrition" and "Nutritional Assessment" at undergraduate level, and "Nutrition and Cancer" and "Nutrition and Immunity" at graduate level. Dr. Kim was awarded "Excellent Teaching" from Ewha Womans University in 2012 and "Excellent Paper" from the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies in 2014. She has been working as a Secretary of Scientific Affairs in Korean Nutrition Society from 2013 and published more than 30 SCI(E) journals. She translated "Nutrition therapy and Pathophysiology".
