Thailand’s Silpakorn University Expands International Exchange with the Department of Korean Language & Literature at Ewha

The faculty and students from Silpakorn University of Thailand and its Department of East Asian Studies visited Ewha Womans University on Thursday, March 23. This visit was made according to MOU established in October 2016 between the Liberal Arts College of Silpakorn University and Ewha Womans University.

Silpakorn University, especially renowned for its art programs in Thailand, accommodates a total of 25,000 enrolled students and has extensive academic and research exchanges with overseas universities. Several Silpakorn students already completed the courses of Ewha Graduate School of the Department of Korean Language & Literature and the Department of Korean Studies and now a number of Silpakorn students are studying degree courses at Ewha.

This visit is significant in that it allows the two universities to expand their exchange consistently and effectively and thus helps the globalization of Korean culture with greater understanding of Korea.
