The Ewha Language Center (led by Director Lee Hai-young) held the opening ceremony for the "2016 invitational training course for Korean language experts from overseas" in the Ewha-Samsung Education Culture Building on October 4 (Tue.) at 12:30 p.m.

This training, hosted by the National Institute of the Korean Language and organized by the Ewha Language Center, will be offered for two weeks from October 3 (Mon.) to October 16 (Sun.) with an aim at enhancing the teaching ability of professors and lecturers in the Department of Korean Language at foreign universities, Korean language teachers at foreign elementary schools, and teachers working at overseas Korean language educational institutions.

This training course provides a variety of programs such as lectures by Korean language specialists, visits to classes, group activities, discussion on how to use Korean language training materials, academic field trips and hands-on cultural activities in order to increase the expertise of Korean language teachers and improve their teaching methods. These programs are expected to give the participants an opportunity to gain a lot of practical information on Korean language education including effective teaching methods which are hard to find in books.
