김용균 교수는 사회과학대학 정치외교학과 소속 부교수로 비교/국제정치경제 분야를 전공하고 있다. 2009년 미국 UNC at Chapel Hill에서 정치학 박사학위를 받은 후, 미국 캘리포니아 주 소재 University of the Pacific에서 2016년까지 다양한 비교정치, 국제정치 과목들을 가르쳤다. 최근 베트남을 비롯한 동남아시아 국가들의 정치경제에 관한 연구를 진행하고 있으며, 현재까지 <Journal of East Asian Studies>, <Review of International Organizations>, <Journal of International Relations and Development>, <International Interactions>, <국제정치논총>, <동남아시아연구> 등 여러 학술지에 논문을 발표해왔다.
