The Office of Research was newly established and separated from the Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs in 1997 to effectively support and encourage the faculty's research activities. |

The Office of Research screens requests for and distributes research funds, and makes evaluations to promote the faculty’s research activities. It is also in charge of the expenses for promoting research including thesis publication in national/international academic journals, academic symposiums, academic books, performances/exhibitions, etc.
The office oversees the postdoctoral program, reviews the establishment and abolishment of research institutes, supports and supervises the management of research institutes, and enhances the functions of the institutes through evaluations.
It runs the Academic Research Committee and the Research Institute Evaluation Committee to promote research and increase its credibility and effectiveness. |
