The Admissions Office is in charge of admission policies, procedures, consultations, and publicity. The admission procedures concern the graduate school, the undergraduate program and transfer students. The office is working with related committees to further enhance the admission policies through continuous research. The graduate school admission takes place once a year but may take place twice considering the pool size 1,180 students for the master’s program and 370 for the doctoral program. There are 15 admission procedures for the undergraduate school. It can roughly be divided into irregular second semester admissions I, II and regular admissions, selecting 3,192 students in 33 areas. Transfer students are admitted once a year during the regular transfer admissions period during their junior year as well as admission for a second bachelor’s degree. The Admissions Office offers admission consultations as well as exclusive consultations for prospective students and parents during the application process. An online Q&A is also available through the office website. The office provides detailed information on admissions to prospective students through the report ‘Ewha@Ro’, published once a year. Other publications on admissions are also available for the different procedures, the essay test, etc. The office also hosts special programs for information on admissions and the school, including the ‘Admissions Fair’, ‘Admissions Fair and Lecture on the essay test at high schools’, ‘High School Teachers' Gathering’, etc. The Admissions Office is developing admission policies that match the strategies of Ewha, and offers fair admission procedures through systematic and scientific methods. |
