"Pioneering the Blue Ocean of Health Science"
The college of health sciences was established to educate female professionals specializing in health science who can contribute to enhancing the life quality of human beings, based on the Christian spirit, educational philosophy of Ewha Womans University.
In order to fulfill this mission, the college builds integrated education, research paradigm in the area of health science, and enables its students to be equipped with professional knowledge, research ability and the international competitiveness. Its aim is to take lead in the 21st century that pursues well-being by training professionals who meet the social demand as well as studying and developing relevant programs in an integrated way.
The college is expected to provide education that combines theory and practice by integrating relevant specific areas to students who choose a path toward health professionals in the realms of research, development and education in preparation for high-income and aging society that puts emphasis on the quality of life. |

The aim of education
Based on educational philosophy of Ewha Womans University, the college contributes to improving national health and welfare by training female professionals equipped with integrated expert knowledge and research ability in the area of health science, ultimately boosting the life quality of human being.
In an effort to fulfill this goal, the college has the following concrete objectives;
To cultivate sound personality, professional views on work and ethical awareness.
To build up the ability to understand the expert knowledge of health science in an integrated way and translate it into action.
To enhance basic research ability to develop integrated expert knowledge in the area of health science in a unique way.
To promote the problem-solving ability to understand the future health science and welfare culture and changed environment and to actively cope with them.
To develop leadership ability to take lead the development of integrated health science paradigm that contributes to improving the life quality of human community.
